Ruby

Ruby is one of my favourite programming languages, and it's nothing to do with the language at all. I picked it up as a teenager, and it's been with me ever since. It's by no means the best programming language out there, and it's no longer sexy, but when I have a problem I need to solve with programming, ruby is my first port of call.
